Are there any charities that I can give a bag of unwanted Candian coins.

Any banks accept them for charities ???

there are boxes in the airports that take all sortsof currency, but I'm sure you could take them to a bank/buildig soc. Or maybe even Oxfam or somewhere, it seems a real waste to just hang on to them, or worse- throw them.

A lot of airlines have those UNICEF envelopes for foreign small change - if you rang around they might be happy to chuck it in with their general collection. Perhaps try Qantas, Virgin, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific for a start.
