Interest rate rise

Anyone else seen this. Apparently they might rise as early as next week. I blame those ridiculously low interest rates for the house price inflation which hasnt really helped people wanting to buy a home of their own.

The BoE policy group meet on the 1st Thursday of each month. Interest rates are not going to rise next week but the markets think they could in November.

Depends what area of the country you are in. In some places house prices have fallen in the last couple of years.

Higher interest rates may have an effect on house prices. However, that mortgage you need will also become more expensive. This will only help those buying without mortgage or at least those having a large deposit.
