Do child tax credit check if you are in receipt of DLA before awarding?

I was on my online HMRC portal updating my details and I have 1 son in receipt of DLA and one awaiting a decision. So I updated the wrong account and clicked the son who is awaiting a decision on DLA notifying HMRC he is in receipt of DLA. This was about 6 weeks ago and I got a letter today To inform my payments are increasing as my son receives DLA? I haven't been notified of a decision yet from DLA ? Is it possible the award as been granted and I just haven't been notified yet ? I just think it's odd that award from HRMC has been issued without confirmation from DLA ?

No you imform them if your sons awarded dla if you have done it by accident then you need to change it back. The child tax credit will find out when the dla was awarded from and if its not the date you have put they will want the money back.
