Mortgage completion and needing to apply for a new credit card

Hi

I am due to complete my remortgage tomorrow and everything is in place to go I've been told. I also need to transfer a balance on my CC as the promotional rate is ending in 3 weeks. I keep to credit cards due to 0% interest rates.

When should I be applying for a new card? I dont want my remortgage to be affected? Should I be leaving a certain amount of time between completing and applying for a new card?

Thanks for your help

As long as it’s complete I don’t think it matters at all. I changed my mortgage to take off my ex and got a loan a week later for home improvement. As long as it’s within your capability according to credit rating there won’t be any issues. Most companies do a soft search as well to check before you make the final application

Thank you. The balance transfer isn't a great deal. Around 2000. But you'd suggest leaving it til after tomorrow to apply for a new card?
