Has anyone ever bought a reconditioned Mac? If so, where from?I need a laptop and prefer Mac to PC but can't afford the Apple price tag. I'm a teacher so need it for planning, powerpoints, browsing.

I’ve just bought a reconditioned MacBook from Apple which is guaranteed to be like a new Mac. But it hasn’t been delivered yet so I can’t say for certain how decent it is!

As you’re a teacher have you looked at the education discount? At the moment you get free AirPods as well as a discount off the Mac.

I've had a couple of reconditioned Macs. They were absolutely fine. Sorry, but I can't remember where I got them.

I have only heard good things about them. Buy through the apple website refurbished section.

If working in education they also tend to give a decent discount, though not so much on refurbs last I looked.

I have various family members who use reconditioned Macs (bought from the Apple official store) and have always been really happy with them.

I actually just ended up buying myself a new one from Amazon though because it was the same price as a reconditioned one from 2020, and you can pay in instalments that way.
