Should I request a refund

I have my energy with Bulb and am currently £200 in credit. I am wondering if I should request that it’s refunded - you f they go under I doubt I’ll ever see it again; but equally f everyone did this it would push them under.

What should I do?

Usually the energy company gets pulled into another, so with us we got our credit through Shell energy who absorbed our bankrupt company (can’t remember the name!)

But requesting a refund takes minutes so I’d always do this - it’s your money!!

You won't lose your money, it will be transferred to your provider. There's an article on BBC News website/app that explains where you stand etc.

What can I do if my energy supplier goes bust? www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-58662667

Thanks all. I didn’t realise it was protected so that’s good to know.

I did and they are only giving me 97 of it out of the 300 because my account might have a bill coming in..... even though I have a pending transaction on there to cover it that's well over the bill amount.

I am going to email asking the full amount just in case. I know everyone is saying it gets absorbed but i've seen posts in other places saying it hasn't.
