Webmoney - how safe is it?

Title speaks for itself really. I'm seeing mixed reviews on t'internet so advice from real people would be fantastic please!
Background is I am looking to wholesale purchase for my business using Aliexpress, basically cutting out my middleman supplier. Payment options are card on the ap, which I'm not happy with, or Webmoney. They don't accept PayPal.

I don't know anything about Webmoney, but why aren't you happy about paying by card? Credit cards especially offer fraud protection, so are usually the safest way to pay and why are you dealing with this company at all if you think it's going to be unsafe in some way?

I'm one of the tiny minority who doesn't have a credit card, otherwise this would be the ideal solution.
Good point about the unsafe aspect though @BarbaraofSeville. I suppose I don't mind taking a gamble on a few hundred £ for the business, but don't want to put my card details on a foreign site.
