How much should I try and sell this for ?

I have had a ring formally valued. It is an engagement ring given to me by an abusive ex.

It has been valued at £2750.

Second hand jewellery doesn’t have much value I know. What price should I list this item on eBay ?

Thanks

Possibly try £500 and expect offers below. Good luck.

You could try putting it into a local auction with a reserve price on first.

Be careful listing high value on eBay. Scammers return jewellery that is not the original and it's very difficult to fight it, eBay will refund automatically. Not even photos showing you packing the item is good enough as proof. Definitely make a note of the weight of the parcel in case they swap for a light fake and return and make sure that accurate weight shows on your postal receipt.

Will the place you got it valued not buy it from you? Also some jewellers will buy items even if that's not where you got the valuation from you could see what they offer. It would be a more certain price than trying to sell on eBay.
