I have been clearly stuck at home with Covid for ages!!!! Yesterday I got my first Uber in like 2 years for my mum. And before it was in a different country

What is the etiquette in the UK?

Thanks

I do yes - usually a quid or two.

DamnUserName21 · 11/08/2021 18:56

Only if they are any good.

shazzz1xx · 11/08/2021 21:03

I don’t use them but if I did I wouldn’t as it’s expensive enough x

burnoutbabe · 11/08/2021 21:09

Yes I would unless they were rude or something. Price is so much cheaper than a normal cab.

TheFlis12345 · 11/08/2021 21:11

If they drive safely, are polite (e.g. asking about my radio preference) and don’t chat constantly I usually do.

Hg176 · 14/08/2021 20:49

Yes, about 10%. 15% if it’s late at night and I/my friends are being annoying. 25% if we stop at a drunken drive through Wink

hyperbole001 · 15/08/2021 08:52

Yes, though it does depend on how good they are. I get annoyed by the ones that pick you up and then spend the entire time on the phone (hands-free). I don't want to hear their conversations ffs.

Yes. A;ways tip cabbies.
