Test and trace £500 payment - what can I do to encourage my local council to pay up?

Evening all
I've had to isolate twice in the last month, meaning I have very reduced income from my job. Luck in my I meet all th criteria for getting the £500 government payment for those having to stay off work.
Unluckily, the scheme is run through the local council who are worse than useless. I've been waiting 20 days since they wanted extra info, which I quickly sent them. I've rung, texted and emailed, but get no response. I've given up on contacting them as I don't want to be a pain and put them off. But I'm really broke and need the money. Has anyone had any success dealing with the council on this and can you give me any top tips please.

Keep contacting them, everyday. Tell them you will phone again tomorrow.

Contact your local Councillor and see if they can hurry them up.

Contact your MP. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
