Refused for life insurance quote on moneysupermarket after postpartum illnesses now recovered- does this mean I will find it hard to get cheap life insurance now?

I’m trying to get life insurance to cover a 120k mortgage (in England) after having my first child in May. I had pre-eclampsia and a bladder infection in hospital which resulted in sepsis. Since that I had haemorrhoids for 1 week in duration. I’m fully recovered from everything now. No other health problems. My dad has a stroke in his mid 50s. When I filled out the questionnaire on moneysupermarket for life insurance, it came back saying I couldn’t be covered at all, but my partner who is 10 years older than me can with £10 a month payments. I always thought I was the healthier one out of the two of us so this is a surprise.

Do you think this will mean it will be very difficult to get life insurance now? I’m going to speak to a broker, but just in advance of this I’d like to know if this is common for mothers to experience? My health issues were entirely childbirth related and have gone now.
