@RoseRoseRoseRose

Roughly £200
Same, adult woman and 15 year old boy. Much less when he was two or eight, so I think it depends on the age of the child.

Depends, when I was broke I managed at around £25 per week. I now spend between £40 - £55 per week, but this does allow and extra weeks worth of food kicking around in the freezer and cupboards so I have the odd week where apart from milk I don’t do a weekly shop.

Quite broke and being really careful with meal planning etc, shop at Aldi - can do 40/week for a house of 2 adults and 2 kids and still have lots of fresh fruit and some biscuits, and have it feel like a 'normal' shop. I doubt you could exactly halve that for half the number of people because it's sometimes cheaper to buy the bigger packet etc, but in case it helps, that's what we do.

I'm sure I could get it cheaper with less nice fresh fruit and no biscuits etc. but 35-40 is about my limit for 'they don't know it but we're being careful with money' weekly shop.

I spend about £40-£50 a week for me and my son, but that includes basic toiletries and cleaning products, loo roll etc. I could spend a bit less if I was careful on brands/swaps etc but need £40 minimum to get home delivery!

I have managed to get it down to £50 a week for one adult and one child.
