Hi,
I registered with Appen last week. I have been accepted to 3 projects so far. I am going to start work on them later today. They are nothing major, just projects using the app to to give voice commands. I have applied for the Y*** project. I'm waiting to see if I am offered the exam.

It's really new to me. I just want to earn a bit more money as I am waiting to start a history degree in Sept. I also thought it might be interesting and useful skills-wise to put on my cv. Or is that that a bit of a reach and should just do it for the cold hard cash? Completely new to it, if anyone is kind enough to share experience with Appen I would love to here from you please? I think I just want to get it into context of what it actually is and not expect too much. Extra cash=great! Extra cash and valued skills to put on cv= that's and added bonus. X

I'd love a beginner's guide to Appen too. I've set up my payoneer account and have applied for some projects but I have no real idea what I'm doing. Intrigued by the projects referenced in the main thread (understand that they're not allowed name them) but have no idea of what to look for when picking a project.

When you're picking a project, check how much time and how intense it is.
I did one for over a year and it was only an hour a day but they expected 6 out of 7 days and sometimes on top of life and a full time job, it turned into a bit of a dull commitment!

Some of the others I've seen expect more than that.

Join the Earn a Tenner a day thread. Most of us are on Appen on some form or another!
But- apply for everything that pops up. You can not do it in the end if you don't feel like it, and often it takes months between applying for something and getting onto it.

At one stage I had 35+ applications in progress, but have only ever actually worked 2 or 3.

@Phantasmo I can dm you the names of the the projects I've been accepted to if that will help? I don't think I'm allowed to name them on here. Yes I agree it's a bit trying but been playing around with it this morning and I'm kinda getting the hang of it I think? Let me know and I'll dm with whatever knowledge I have. Smile

@Miniestelle
Thank you ever so much for that. 😊
Along with the cash incentive would you say you learnt any new skills?
