Hi,

Very random, but I work 16 hours a week and get full house and benefits but the local living allowance is £1240 and I pay an extra £260 on top as my rent is 1500 if I was to lose my job with the housing pay the whole 1500 even though The local living allowance is only 1240???

No. They pay the local allowance only and you have to find the shortfall yourself.

I agree. You would need to find a cheaper house. Or make up the shortfall. Thats the whole point of the cap.

No I was just asking, for instance if I lost my job. Would they pay the shortfall.

I can afford the short fall

The Entitled2 website is pretty accurate if you want to find out how it works if your circumstances change. Just input details and it gives you a breakdown of what you could get.
