Can I claim after school club with tax credits?

I am self employed part time, at the moment we get help towards one morning of nursery a week for DS.

DD has announced she wants to go to after school club - it is run by her old preschool staff, her friend goes etc.

I'm thinking one session a week might be doable, and if I can add it into the childcare element I will! Just wondering if after school clubs count (proper childcare type thing, not an activity club like football etc)

yes you should be able to but remember that it is only up to 80% of course it could be worth it but you might not get much.

Yes after school counts as my son goes to one, its childcare after all as long as they are registered, remember if they take vouchures then sometimes that cancels out tax credits
