Parking tickets.

Am I right in assuming that traffic wardens no longer have to stick a little ticket on your windscreen to nab you for a parking offence?

No excuses. Parked on a double yellow for about 2 mins this morning and was just pulling away as the officious little sh*t legitimate office of the state came round the corner and scribbled something in his little book. Am I done for?

Thanks slacker. That is very useful.

This surprised me: "Contrary to popular misconception, you are not - and never have been - permitted to stop for 'a few minutes' other than to set down or pick up passengers"

I didn't think you could ever stop on double yellows but apparently you can. I was dropping my 2 DCs off.
