Anyone know about child maintenance

I closed my child maintenance claim 2 weeks ago, today I received a text to say I received a child maintenance payment and will get it in 3 days, not received any text messages from them before in the 5 years so definitely not a standard thing. Does anyone know what it is for considering I’ve closed the case??

That's odd as I get a text message every month. When they dont arrive it's because no payment has been received for them send on. How strange that you've never had one and only have now since closing your claim

Oh yeh that is weird I’ve never received a text ever, I didn’t know it was a thing!

I get a text when I get a payment. It happens very infrequently in my case. I would either check on line or give them a ring.

Unfortunately I never made an online account with them so don’t have a way to check online without the reference number which I don’t have, don’t know when I will ever get round to calling them!
