Divorce settlement International

I am newly separated. My husband and I live in separate countries. He wants to settle with me before divorce but I am not sure how much tax I would have to pay on the settlement. I live in UK now. The settlement will be over 100K GBP.

Has anyone ever had this experience?

As far as I know and I've contacted moneyadvice.org is the following:

Tax is alread paid by the person who has to pay the settlement
and so the person who receives it is not liable to pay tax on it.
