I pay by DD

Twice a year they put the best part of £300 in my bank account

Then i phone up & say please don't do this as I will end up owing you the money

They say no you won't

I say yes I will look at my meter reading - I' sure you have an estimate

Oh yes we do say BG what is the real reading

Well it's 1500 units more on each meter

Oh yes they say - you owe us £200

I know I say - so why did you send me £300 yesterday

We just had a £240 refund from Southern for gas - we had tried to budget for winter by overpaying in summer but that logic defies them

i have similar problems with scottish power. signed up this time last year and paid x amount per month. Wasn't enough to cover what i'd used but i said didn't want to pay much as we'd catch up in the summer. Apparently the 'comupter' wouldn't allow them to reduce the payments ffs how ridiculous! so over the summer paid alot per month, now we've caught up and they've reduced the payments even though now we'll use more electricity as it's winter. So I guess next summer my bills will be huge again. Never had any issue with BG. THink i'll change supplier.

We switched from bg to npower. No problems so far.

I emailed them to ask how much I was paying for elec & they emailed back to say £xxx a month

So I said no - how much is elec so they said well you have a day meter & a night meter

So I said no how much is each unit so they said we can't tell you - you aren't the account holder

So I said well why did you tell me the other stuff & now DH (well me actually in his email account) has requested that my name goes on the account & that they tell me all the stuff I need to know until that happens

This is a problem i have had with Npower, they refuse to talk to me because i havent been authorised.( my dh has authorised on many occasions but they havent noted!)
Frustrates me how they will tell you about the account, but if you try and go a bit deeper, they say they cant speak to you! I lost my rag with em last week,bloody annoys me i pay them with my money!!
