My small business accounts are due to be filed soon for corporation tax. I get free software from my bank (FreeAgent). So everything is documented and in good order before being passed over to my accountant of 6+ years.
I notice FreeAgent now offer free filing of CT as part of the software. However, I’m unsure whether to do this or continue with my accountant. Things have been extremely tough this past year and our business would have closed permanently if it wasn’t for furlough.
Would you be comfortable just using the software, or still using the accountant? If so how much do you normally pay for prepping accounts and filing CT return?
I obviously feel bad about cutting accountant out, but he tells me that he is super busy now and his business has rocketed due to Covid!
