Life insurance, I’m clueless. Do you recommend any companies?

I’m just about to buy a property and will have a £120k mortgage shared with my partner. I’m also due to have a baby very soon. We know we need life insurance, but don’t know anything much beyond that.

I saw an advert on TV for Dead Happy, they seem to be marketed at millennials like me (I’m early 30s). My partner is 10 years older than me. His friend recommended Legal and General.

Also how much do these things usually cost? I was hoping it could be got for under a tenner a month each.

Legal and general, we pay I think it’s £38 a month

I would recommend Royal London. Unfortunately I had need to claim on the critical illness part of the policy and they were excellent. The whole process was extremely straight forward.
The premiums were extremely reasonable too and I am approx. 10 years older than you.
