Debit card expiry

I was hoping someone could answer this for me please as it's baffling me lol. My debit card runs out 04/21 so does that mean I can use my current card until April 30th and await for my bank to send a new card?

Many thanks

They should send it a few weeks in advance before the old one expires

As above, they will send a new one before your one expires which you will activate when using it for the first time, when you use it your current card will be cancelled.

Until you use the new one your current card will still work up until the end of the month.

Mine is the same, and I received a new card last week. But you can still use that one until end of April

Mine usually arrive well before the old one expires.

Do you get paper statements, delivered to your current address?

MenaiMna · 27/03/2021 15:06

Mine was due in Feb and halfway through I got worried. I checked on my app under help/other/card (where you'd report lost or stolen but don't go that far). Somewhere on there it was a message a new card was on its way. I used the old one until I could use the new one once in person (mcd drive-thru because I don't use shops anymore) to activate it.

As others have said, expect it mid March. I needed to activate mine by making a purchase in store with my PIN number. You could also use an ATM for this.
