Will 1 missed credit card payment stop me getting a mprtgage

We are so close to going for a mortgage so will be looking at applying in the next few months once we have the rest of the deposit together.

I got a credit card as I read that it was a good way to boost credit rating so I put some Amazon or things like that on there, spend about a 100 a month and pay it off at the end of the month.
I have had it for 2 years and never not paid in full. This month I missed the payment ( I know I should set up a direct debit and am kicking myself). No money problems just forgot to send the bloody money.

How badly will this affect our chances of getting a mortgage? Am I freaking out over nothing?

Have you paid it now? I know Barclays say payment within 14 days won’t affect your rating but you would have to google for the info of who your cc is with to be sure.

I paid it as soon as I realised so I think 5 days late. Its tsb but will Google and see if they have the same policy

I think you should be fine.

You'll have to wait a month or two and look at your your credit report. You may have paid it before the credit card company reported for the month, you may not have. If it's just one payment, you should be ok. Keep the account open and keep paying on time.

Virtually zero. It might not even be reported to the credit reference agency at all. If it is one late payment will have a negligible impact, especially if your mortgage app is some years away.
