Divorce, low income, universal credit and getting a mortgage

Low income although good child support and some universal credit. There is a large mortgage on family home. Looking at online calculations I haven't a hope of raising anywhere near the amount. What I have been trying to find out, is there such a thing as co ownership type arrangements, part buy/rent finance deals on existing home. So a financial deal for existing mortgage rather than a co-owned new home.

None that I have ever heard of. Do you need to buy your ex out of the house?

I don't have to buy him out but ideally I would release him from the mortgage.
