Tax credit - anyone got a date for the £500 payment yet?

I see a lot of tax credit recipients will be getting a £500 lump sum rather than the £20 a week - but has anyone had it yet or had a date for it? I get a small amount of tax credits and can't figure out if I'm eligible for the £500

I never got a text yet. I was told by live chat that my payment was issued Wednesday

I tried live chat and they wouldn’t tell me anything

The inconsistency is actually shocking but I would not be surprised.

I have NatWest and doesn't show payments pending. They don't normally hit account until 3am not midnight.

That's if I get it.

I'm scared to spend it anyway, as I think they're going to tell me they've overpaid me this last year. Mine will just get put into savings until I get my new award notice through.

I have just checked my online banking money has gone in & I didn’t get a letter or text! 😄

My friend never got a text or anything and she's just messaged me saying the money has just gone into her account so if you don't get notifications worth checking guys.

Me too, but I do think I should be eligible. It's the not knowing, surely there as a better way for hmrc to sort it

Halifax and nothing

I’m with Santander single mum of one in receipt of working tax & child tax credits received no correspondence at all and it has gone in this evening

Halifax here too and not a hint of it. When I get paid salary etc it goes in just after midnight.

I'm with Halifax and usually get my wages at midnight so I'm hoping same with this payment. I know colleagues with Santander bank sometimes get paid the day before me

Yes my friend is Santander and hers went im this evening I'm Barclays and haven't received anything. I got a text weeks ago but not sure I'm definitely eligible.
