Virtual assistant for extra money

I'm looking at being a virtual assistant to make a bit of extra money whilst I'm stuck at home. Is anybody here a virtual assistant? On average how much money do you make and how did you get into it?

Do you have any relevant experience? I’m not sure it’s something you can just walk in to if you fancy extra cash.

@AllTheCakes I have worked in admin/sales/customer service for 10 years so do have some experience
