Vendors taking ages!

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice. Sorry bit of a rant 😳

Back story - we put our house on the market in Oct after seeing the house of our dreams! The house we wanted sold just as we put ours on the market but that fell through so we straight away viewed, placed an offer and had offer accepted! Yay! Our house then sold pretty quickly afterwards by the November.

Ever since we have had nothing but trouble with our sellers, they have pulled out of buying 2 different properties, after telling us we would definitely beat the Stamp duty deadline (which we thought would defo be possible being months away from when we started our buying selling journey) and pushed for us to get surveys etc... when it's them who are now taking ages to find somewhere new! Our mortgage offer is valid until June so I really hope they can find somewhere and complete before then..

AIBU to maybe ask them to move into a rented property or ask them to maybe lower the price slightly to reflect us now missing the stamp duty deadline? I'm really worried our buyer will think it's taking too long and pull out putting us back to square one.

Just to top it all off we are due our first baby any day now, adding extra pressure/stress about moving. This is why I'm worried our mortgage offer will expire before we move then we will have to reapply with me being on maternity leave and not being allowed to borrow as much as a result of reduced income!

Sorry it's such a long one, but has anyone been in the same boat? Or as a vendor has anyone moved into rented?

Thanks in advance 😊

Have they found a house yet or are they still looking? You can ask but be prepared for them to say no.

@Racoonworld they found a house but have now pulled out of the sale because they realised they set their budget too high as we are now likely to miss the stamp duty deadline. I thought it may be too cheeky.

Thanks 😊
