kIT days self employed

Hi everyone, do I need to inform HMRC if I use my Kit days ? Im self employed. Thank you

No, I don’t believe so. I never have. Be aware even if you do an hours work that’s classed as one kit day. You can’t spread 8 hours over 8 days for example. Although, who’s going to check.

I think people will need more info. Self employed as a sole trader, or limited company on the payroll? What type of maternity pay are you receiving? Report to HMRC an occasional additional day's pay from your own sole-trader account?

I emailed them each time and kept copies in my records but they never acknowledged. As with most things self employed it’s best to have good records but mostly nobody will ask.
