Does this tell you what you need to know?

that means you have a standard tax code

you get the standard £5225 tax allowance that most people will get

i.e. the first £5225 of your income is not taxed

direct gov is also useful for understanding taxes, allowances, benefits etc

oo oo oo me, I know too late, you've already been told

oooo - so if I've calculated correctly that means that tax man could owe me money again at the end of this tax year (not as much as he gave me back for the 05/06 one but still nice )
