Hi

Im sorry this is a stupid question. I saw these threads about earning money on things like Appen, Qmee, Crisp etc

As im currently unemployed, and on JSA.. if i do make money on those kind of websites, will it affect my JSA? Some people were making £200+ so if i was getting that in my account, i would have thought it would affect my benenfits but not sure

I got given a start date for a job i was so excited for but they called and said unfortunately theyre not sure when i can start now so while i look for another job i wanted to do this too

You are allowed to work up to 16h a week on JSA, I think.

If you are earning £200+ a month tho, you better are registering as self-employed and moving onto Universal Credit. You will have to do a tax return tho.

Are you on income or contribution jsa? If it’s contribution jsa then it’s not affected by other income or savings? Once you earn over £1000 you need to fill in a tax return and pay any tax due.
