we are still living in the house together as things are amicable, but i cannot move on until i move out.

we are going to have shared custody of ds as dp only works weekends. i will need a two bed property to move into so ds has a room when he is with me. Ex-dp is going to keep the house.....at least until he knows if he can afford to extend the mortgage to give me a lump sum or whether we need to sell it.

will i be entitled to any benefits? i am looking for work at the moment, as i would like to support myself, but if i can speed up the process by claiming benefits i will.......i'm just so confused as to where i start on this one.....i have no savings so will need to find deposit/bond money from somewhere....

can anyone give me advice? my friends here just say take full custody of ds and i'll get everything paid for but i don't want to do that.....
