Buy to Let mortgage while living out of the uk

Dose anyone know if you can get a buy to let mortgage while living outside the UK. DH has a job in Ireland and we are moving there. We were thinking of trying to get a buy to let mortgage so we could rent our house out and hopefully make some money. But we’ve been told the only place that will do a buy to let mortgage while we are out of the country is NatWest and they said as DH isn’t being paid in pounds we can’t do it.

Dose anyone know if there is any other providers out there we could go through please.

hi, I'd speak to an independent mortgage broker as they would be able to tell you about the best options. when I worked abroad - I had no issue with BTL mortgages but I retained a UK bank account and had other money going into it.

Yes, it's possible, but you will need a specialist.
Look at Expat mortgages.
