Can anyone point me in the right direction for work from home jobs?

I think a large % of jobs are work from home at the moment. Tech jobs are the obvious ones.

Fressia123 · 06/01/2021 13:10

There's also customer service/support. They pay NMW though.

Thanks. I have looked but can’t find anything

Worth applying for jobs that have a location specified but which you think that at the moment might be WFH ...I suspect my employer (a large organisation) is still advertising with office locations but most of the office staff are WFH and some might never return to the office ...

lljkk · 06/01/2021 17:13

some on OP, give us a postcode, we'll find you 'something' ; what are you actually qualified to do?

Shaniac · 06/01/2021 19:14

A lot of the jobs seem to be south or midlands not north west.

Dinosauraddict · 06/01/2021 23:20

I'm doing a lot of recruiting lately (civil service) and still have to specify office locations. However I haven't been to my office (or met any of my team f2f) ever, and I don't expect to for some time. Even post-pandemic I only expect to go into the office max 2 days per week. Worth a conversation with the vacancy holder if you find something you're interested in.

Thanks @Dinosauraddict thats helpful!

I saw on Reed website they have a lot of customer service and call centre work from home jobs at the moment. Also secretarial jobs and researchers if you have that sort of experience.

RaspberryCoulis · 07/01/2021 09:01

Depends on your skills, doesn't it? No point in people suggesting you get a customer services job if you hate talking on the phone, or a writing job if your spelling and grammar is appalling.

Do you want to be based from home 5 days a week? We don’t advertise roles as being home based but our team is only required to be in the office two days per week so home more than half the week. I suspect, based on the set up friends now have as well, that a huge amount of jobs now have a similar set up.

BeeLady15 · 05/11/2021 20:37

When you say Work From Home jobs do you mean jobs that you can do while your kids are there with you? A lot of jobs can be done at home but not while you’re caring for children at the same time.

ChildrenGrowingUpTooFast · 05/11/2021 20:48

A lot of jobs are WFH. No one can suggest a job for you if they don’t know your work experience.

A whole list from a recruitment site, for example.
