@GailLondon that is bad. I had the invite and it vanished. Don't think I'll chase it now.

I'm getting so confused with all these For projects now! I have 3 on my list, almost identical names, either qualified for or not, and none of them are actually work!

I did notice a couple of projects on Ap recently where the pay rate is being shown as $11-13 ph, instead of the 14 it would normally be Sad.

I don't think I can really sell or return any of my 6 Am** products this month. I just hope a couple of the clothing ones from China are actually wearable. I am thinking you probably get better stuff on shops than e-commerce, which is what I've had the last 2 months. I did get a giftbox of 3 lovely candles from a small UK company, but I haven't the heart to return them (and no good reason) and they do smell gorgeous, so I'm going to enjoy them myself.

TeddyDidIt · 21/01/2021 21:08

Did anyone get a N&&vo email earlier about an audio task? I started to look because that work is usually ok to dip in and out of but the guidelines seem a lot longer than usual and the pay works out at $10 per hour (if they are to be believed!). I'm not sure I can motivate myself to do it Blush

ElectricEels · 21/01/2021 21:26

@TeddyDidIt I got that but I reckon it will take a lot longer than they say, and10 dollars an hour is shit anyway I think.

Tattiespuds · 21/01/2021 21:33

I think i need to find something other than Appen, I'm just not getting any projects. Been ages since I got offered anything. I'm applying for everything but just sit there under processes then eventually drops off.

I'm on potato... what's the next recommended after potato and appen?

whereismormonjesus · 21/01/2021 21:55

Yeah, I’m not bothering with the Neevo one. Worked it out at less than £6 for 100 prompts and Neevo has form for rejecting 3/4s of the tasks anyways. Sod that.

whereismormonjesus · 21/01/2021 21:56

On a good day on UHRS through Clickworker I can make 5 cents every 10 seconds. Adds up very quickly, you just have to catch the good jobs.

unicornpoopoop · 21/01/2021 22:31

@Tattiespuds lionbridge! I still don't get why it's hardly mentioned on here! Yes there's a test which is a bit long winded but once you've passed you get access straight away to up to 20 hours a week work. There's odd days when I don't get any work but that's only because the available task times haven't lined up with my available time. But I've consistently made between £350 and £750 a month since I started in around May time

Frenchdoors1 · 21/01/2021 23:33

@unicornpoopoop I was always put off from doing Lionbridge after hearing the exam is quite difficult to pass and there's 3 parts to it and 250 pages of guidelines to read for the exam Shock

whysotriggered · 21/01/2021 23:59

@unicornpoopoop I am assuming this is the same project as the big one on Appen. The exam is also three parts and yes hundreds of pages of guidelines.

redgirl1 · 22/01/2021 07:43

@ElectricEels are free trade free shares any good. I started with some friends a little Christmas kitty for a night out (fingers crossed). We all opened a trade 212 account and invested a tenner + a free trade each and weI’ll see what we end up with in total in December. The free trades were nearly all under £10 (still money for nothing shouldn’t complain).
I wouldn’t mind doing it again with free trade again if it’s worth the effort of signing up .🤔

Definitely. The hourly rate never good with N but that one seems particularly low and the only draw of the tasks I did at the end of last year was being able to do a few at a time while my toddler made me sit on the sofa watching Hey Dugge or something - which added up! Grin

@Frenchdoors1 I didn't find it difficult. Yea the guides are long but I skimmed them and then kept them open to find the right part whilst I did the test. Obviously if you're on one big project on appen great but for others chasing surveys and low rate tasks, I can't see why you wouldn't try. I do that plus a couple of smaller appen projects

YonderTweek · 22/01/2021 09:00

Which Lb task are you talking about? Is it the SME thing? I applied for it and was put in some resource pool and never heard back from them. Then I got accepted to an Online Contributor task and the work is very on and off. I'd like to do something else for them now, but I can't seem to apply because my log ins are now assigned to my current role and I can't create new applications (without creating new log ins with a new email address but that seems a bit odd). Confused

Thanks for your reply that is very helpful Smile

Baby89 · 22/01/2021 11:15

@unicornpoopoop can i pm you thanks

RidiculousRagdoll · 22/01/2021 11:27

I've had an email re the F* project saying there isn't any work at the moment, hence the error message. Just wanted to let anyone know in case they still hadn't heard anything 🙂

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2021 12:28

@YonderTweek, I know what you mean about applications with LB. I applied to them in the generic application for AI work. However, to actually apply for a specific post you have to apply again but it won't accept your email address as it says it already exists. Are you supposed to use a different username and email for each application? That's what put me off LB.

MrsWombat · 22/01/2021 13:38

Between uTest and Crisp I have made £200 so far and also peeled the minimum 1000 potatoes. I can relax a bit now.

ZetaPuppis · 22/01/2021 16:39

Well done MrsWombat. I need to get peeling. It’s hard when you’ve slacked off for ages.

unicornpoopoop · 22/01/2021 16:42

@Baby89 I'm never sure how do get DM's. I'm on the app. Do I need to use web browser?

unicornpoopoop · 22/01/2021 16:44

@YonderTweek I'm a search engine evaluator. To be honest when I applied I didn't even realise there were different roles. I think I must have just searched and applied for the first thing that came up. I have heard people have had trouble if they've already used an email address so they've used a different one. I'm not sure how that works though. Could you maybe message to find out? I've found their communication really good. They're always quick to respond to any queries

Baby89 · 22/01/2021 16:49

@unicornpoopoop, sorry not sure how it works on the app.

unicornpoopoop · 22/01/2021 16:52

@Baby89 I've found it on browser if you want to DM me 😀
