If you are a retired couple and both receive a state pension, if your husband dies before you, do you get any of his state pension?

It depends, but yes if one dies, the other should ring the pension service and they will re-calculate. Also there may be entitlement to pension credit. there is a number to ring on the Gov.uk site.

This explains what can be passed on, it seems to only apply to deferred pension or the additional state pension payment.
