Can I ask why it isn't a done thing to tip grocery delivery drivers but it is for takeaway delivery people? If anything the grocery delivery is far more work than a takeaway delivery.
Is it because grocery delivery drivers are on a fixed salary whereas takeaway delivery drivers are paid per delivery? (Not sure if they are)
Or is it because groceries are a basic essential whereas takeaways are more of a luxury, therefore you wouldn't necessarily expect someone to tip for a delivery of groceries but if you can afford takeaways then clearly you're just being tight if you don't tip?
I've asked around and it seems no one tips their grocery delivery drivers but I'm wondering if this is bad form..
