Hi everyone, I'm due my first universal credit payment at the end off the month(if any) and I am very confused about the housing allowance element. Is this also paid and included in your payment or is it deducted. Thanks

Yes your rent element will be paid in with any other elements you are entitled to and then you have to pay your rent from that unless payments are made directly to your landlord by an alternative payment method.

OK because I've checked on the entitled to page and it has given me different elements and taken off my pay from work, was unsure is the housing allowance would be included with the overall payment 😕

You need to check on your statement that your rent element is there, it will be listed along with your other elements, so if you have children you will have child element/s there too. Those elements are all added together to make your total Uc then your wages reduce the whole award. If you have kids on your claim the first £292 of earnings will be completely disregarded before wages start to reduce your total award.
