Child Maintenance

Just wanted to know what's a reasonable amount of child maintenance to request for a 2 year old, and does it go up as they get older? How much do you get?

It's not about the child's age, it's based on the NRP income and how many night the child stays with the NRP

@dancemom okay, thank you. My daughter stays with me, and her father will visit for a few hours every 2 weeks or so. He works as a builder so earns quiet a bit.

OP you can use this calculator if you know how much your ex earns. This will give you the minimum payment due.

If it's for one child it is 12% of nrp income before tax and national insurance. But after pension deductions. This is on a sliding scale if there are any over nights.

If nrp is self employed it gets tricky. So if you can agree an amount fingers crossed it gets paid regularly.
