Does anyone know why it takes so long to switch from direct pay to collect and pay for CMS?? My estimated completion date is in January!!!

On god, I only asked for it last month, I think their working with less staff at the moment, I know everything is taking much longer for me and my ex is messing with payments and underpaying as he likes. January will soon come round.

Because they give everyone 28 days to respond. I switched in October 2018 after few months of ex not paying. they wrote to my ex giving him 28 days to pay willingly. Then another 28 days to respond to the request for direct pay. Then they write to the employer and give them 28 days to respond confirming employment etc. Then another 28 days to set up. Depending on payroll. I got my first payment in the February 2019 only for my ex to go self employed in the March. 🙄 last year. Haven't had a penny since.

So I found out it went to deduction of earnings after he failed to respond to their letters within 14 days. He's absolutely seething and demanded they call me to demand I accept pay direct pay again.. 🙄

Let him get on with it. He should of responded and paid his way.

It is out of your control now and in the hands of the CMS.
