Hi everyone. Welcome to the new thread.

Any Crispies got a couple of hours to spare, get on the spreadsheets. Much better rate than then PPI

MrsWombat · 23/11/2020 15:25

@Redcrayons Have you done them before? Are they straightforward and take the time they say?

fandangofandango · 23/11/2020 15:26

@MrsWombat perfect!! Thank you

aceofspace · 23/11/2020 16:12

For those of you on the A**en project where you rate ads, do you set a timer and wait for 2 mins to pass before hitting submit in order to be able to invoice them for the full hour, or is there a better way of doing it?

Redcrayons · 23/11/2020 17:19

@MrsWombat yes, pretty straightforward. I did it a couple of times in the summer, when it all went mad and then this weekend. Took me a bit less than 2 hours.
If I didn’t have to do my real job I’d be filling my boots!

seizethecuttlefish · 23/11/2020 17:41

@aceofspace just rate 30 ads and bill for an hour. I did it for a year and the only issue I had was at the beginning when I went over an hour.

OP posts:
ElectricEels · 23/11/2020 18:16

@aceofspace agree. Just do them and claim an hour. I never took very long and always got paid for the hour.

YonderTweek · 23/11/2020 20:45

The ad rating task still doesn't work for me. I'm gutted because I really wanted to do it. Sad I just get a "no tasks available" message and I've tried everything. Support have been great but they can't work out what the problem is. Boo.

whysotriggered · 23/11/2020 21:53

Bum, didn't get the crisp invite.

tinkywinkyshandbag · 23/11/2020 21:54

Applied to Crisp absolutely donkeys ago...retook the test a gazillion times until I got accepted, finally got an email from them asking me to move onto next steps. I now can't remember anything about the job or the commitment involved - anyone else who works for them, is the pay okay? how many hours a week do they expect? I could do with a bit of extra cash but my day job is now quite busy. Thanks.

seizethecuttlefish · 23/11/2020 22:32

@tinkywinkyshandbag at the moment the money is good but it's very busy right now. It's work when you want. You can get shifts but I've been doing it a year and they've never offered them (or I've missed it). You need to do about £40/month and log on at least once every three weeks to maintain your access.

I would suggest it's not something you can dip in and out of and I find if I don't go in regularly I really slow down. You're paid per item so quick and accurate is the key.

OP posts:
MrsWombat · 24/11/2020 06:52

@tinkywinkyshandbag You need to do 1000 items every 3 weeks and once you are up to speed you will probably get £8-10 an hour before surges. There isn't always content around though, especially in the middle of the day, so realistically I would aim for £10 a day if I wanted to highball. I normally get between £100-150 a month because I'm lazy. The main plus point is it's always there, and if you are happy to work overnight etc then there will be regular money to earn. I try and do at least 15 mins every early morning then jump if I can when there is a surge. As much as I love uTest and Appen they are very hit and miss with regular work.

Gatekeeper · 24/11/2020 08:25

@YonderTweek is that the C**y one? Ive haven't ben able to do that one either and looking at the chat for that project it looks like no-one else has!

aceofspace · 24/11/2020 09:48

@seizethecuttlefish @ElectricEels

Thanks for your help, it will save me a lot of time not sitting there waiting for the 2 minutes to be up.

Adelais · 24/11/2020 09:58

Has anyone been paid by potato yet? They seem to be getting really slow to pay by bank transfer.

seizethecuttlefish · 24/11/2020 09:59

I was paid yesterday. Definitely getting later.

Hello everyone, haven't been on these threads for some time. Can't remember what my old username was but am glad to see £10 a day is still going. Hoping to join some appen projects again!

I've got a free trade share link, are we still allowed to share those?

Dimsummummy · 24/11/2020 11:18

Paid by potato, through the night last night. Deffo slower.. PayPal for me next month- need to submit change prior to 10th if anyone else is interested...

MrsWombat · 24/11/2020 11:21

I got paid yesterday by Crisp. I have a theory they do it by amount. The more they owe you the quicker they process it.

ElectricEels · 24/11/2020 12:04

Can I just beg the new crispers to not comment on the wiki pages - just click the thumbs up button. It drives me potty getting all the emails Grin

ElectricEels · 24/11/2020 12:05

As in not comment 'read' - obviously do comment if you need to Grin

Adelais · 24/11/2020 12:48

I’ve still not been paid and I submitted my invoice about an hour after I they emailed my statement. I’m sure it used to only take a few days to get paid!

MrsEHB · 24/11/2020 12:57

Hi there, I've just signed up to clickworker to make some extra cash while I'm out of work. But I'm completely lost with the tax number thing? Am I signing up as freelance? And how does this work with tax credits? Do I declare this as income? TIA
