Hi everyone. Welcome to the new thread.

Here are some links - none of them are referral links :)

Yep I've given up on it for today as just painfully slow.

seizethecuttlefish · 10/11/2020 12:55

Appen problems here too. Even the AMR app isn't working.

OP posts:
NCforsafety · 10/11/2020 15:07

Yup Appen is taking forever to load a page and I need to do my purchase reviews but am not going to risk it when it's so so so painfully slow.

YonderTweek · 10/11/2020 21:00

If anyone fancies making a few quid there's a validation jobby up on N*o. They've upped the pay a bit for this one and it's really quick and easy. Grin

Horehound · 10/11/2020 21:02

I'm on that one yonder :)

Got two 5/5 subscription jobs so I'm back to enjoying Rev again hehe.

YonderTweek · 10/11/2020 21:45

Nice one Horehound! I'm pleased you're doing well with Rev. Smile I have a bit of a gap between tasks at the moment again so I may well give them a go again. I do remember how much I enjoyed learning about random stuff when transcribing. Grin How are you with lower quality audio and cross talk? I struggled with it sometimes and had to listen to the same bits a million times which stressed me out.

Arielsgift · 10/11/2020 23:57

Is anyone having any trouble with Neevo? It's hasn't been loading anything for me this evening.

YonderTweek · 11/11/2020 07:41

Yeah it completely froze for me last night and still doesn't work. Hmm

I think today is the day I start sending some of the A**r stuff back! I'm fairly sure we're allowed to do that and I have stuff I just cannot gift.

Rad2016 · 11/11/2020 08:00

I am still waiting for all my A**r stuffs to arrive. Not looking to any but one Ted Baker handbag. It'll be interesting to see how much we get paid for this project

YonderTweek · 11/11/2020 08:12

I have only received three things and I'm waiting on 6! I think some will take ages, but we'll see. I've been checking out the chat and there seem to be quite a few angry people who still haven't been paid for their August purchases, which concerns me a tiny bit. However, most people are still saying that reimbursements have been ok, so fingers crossed. Haha.

TeddyDidIt · 11/11/2020 09:24

I have received 4 things, waiting on another 7. I am going to return one too @YonderTweek
I think it's the only one that's completely free to return from the things I don't want, so I expect it will be the only one I return.

seizethecuttlefish · 11/11/2020 10:02

I didn't realise I could return stuff. Happy days as I have one thing that is completely useless and I don't even think I could sell on.

OP posts:
whysotriggered · 11/11/2020 10:45

Yes I think you can return stuff as I have not read anywhere you cannot. Annoyingly the ones I wouldn't mind returning only have partial refund policy ie don't refund delivery and don't pay for the return delivery so as they weren't expensive, it's not worth the trip to post office.

Buster27 · 11/11/2020 11:14

I've received 2, waiting on 3 but 1 is coming from the US so will be a little longer. Not planning any returns but also think it's fine.

ruralwanderer · 11/11/2020 11:21

I've received two items, both good and that I'll keep but waiting on 7 others. 2 I'm pretty sure will never turn up but hopefully the rest will and I can either gift or re-sell them.

lilmishap · 11/11/2020 11:26

Got my K*ox login a week ago OTP didnt work STILL waiting for a bloody response ARGH

YonderTweek · 11/11/2020 11:56

@lilmishap That's annoying. The project chat is full of people with login issues and they aren't getting responses from support. I think I was lucky because when I joined the project I had comms from support and they sorted me out, but they must have got a million times busier now. I hope they sort your account soon! There's currently no work for me on the project and I'm getting a bit bored. Lol.

OnNaturesCourse · 11/11/2020 13:14

hi all

I'm new to all this, and a little lost if I am honest.

I joined Click Worker and have been getting onto to UHRS from there. Done a few bits on it last night for a hour, but the payments are low and not worth it - currently sat at €3. I also don't have many jobs available to me even though I have completed everything they have asked of me.

I joined Appen aswell but there is absolutely no jobs available to me at the moment on that.

Where else can I look/what else can I do?

I'm looking to put in a minimum of a hour a day into this to top up household income.

Also - how does this work with tax etc in UK? Do we declare it, and if so.. How?

Thanks in advance.

seizethecuttlefish · 11/11/2020 13:51

@OnNaturesCourse hello and welcome.
Appen might be because your CV etc is being checked. It can take a week or so to get you on it, then you can qualify for projects.
Do the test for Crisp Thinking and join the waiting list. That's usually got work on it and a lot of us earn from there.
Look at Intellizoom. It's not major money but I make about $40 a month there.
Neevo has tasks at the moment but not sure what the pay is.
Matched betting is a good one too. Tax free, Team Profit is a good place to start.
I'll let the others pip in with what works for them.
Your first 1k of earnings is tax free. After that you need to fill in a tax return. Which is relatively easy. As long as your earnings don't take you to the next level you'll pay basic rate tax on them.

Thanks!

Is the tax threshold a monthly or annual thing? Should I need to do the tax return, how do I do it?

redgirl1 · 11/11/2020 16:34

Hi all,
I have finally got access to N**e which I’m super happy about as I could really do with some extra pennies. I have done two batches so far, it really did take me the full hour today for just 23 items. Is this normal or am I just being too careful / detailed in my responses?? Any advice appreciated.

Arielsgift · 11/11/2020 16:53

@OnNaturesCourse

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it's annual.
HappyPotato · 11/11/2020 17:04

Does ths standard tax free allowance of £12,500 not apply? I thought you had to fill out a tax return of you earn over 1k but don't actually have anything to pay until you reach £12,500

Tinging · 11/11/2020 18:43

Yes you’re right, you won’t need to pay tax if you are under the allowance you just send in a return each year.
OnNaturesCourse · 11/11/2020 19:08

Thanks everyone. I doubt I'll be earning anything near those limits but it's good to know! I seem to just be bringing in pennies at the moment
