Limited capability for work and work related activity

Ive recently been awarded limited capability for work and work related activity, they recieved my medical information mid march I eventually had my health assessment over the phone on the 30th of September!!!! Then I received my decision on the 6th October awarding the limited capability for work and work related activity rate, they state any money owed would be backdated i should hear within 7 working days, they don't mention about what you will receive extra each month either, no idea what I'm due to be back dated and what j
I receive each month, I so confused. Help?

It's £341.92 extra each month paid from the fourth UC assessment period after you started handing in sick notes.

One thing to be aware of also is if you have any 'debts' to the department such as an overpayment of another benefit or previous budgeting or crisis loans you still owe then this debt can be offset against the arrears owed to you.

Agree with PP re amount and backdate. if you have a partner working this might change how your payments are calculated as you can get a work allowance. Whether this makes a difference depends on what your circumstances were before. You may already have a work allowance if you already has Limited Capability for work or you have dependent children.
