Credit card that doesn't require an address check spanning back 3 years?

I never had a credit card before because I didn't trust myself with one, but I am in need of one due to some financial problems caused by the lockdown.

I have moved to the UK two years ago but all the credit cards I tried to apply want me to share all the addresses I have lived in the last 3 years. However it does not recognize the address I lived at before moving to the UK! What can I do?

Two red flags here - you said you didn’t have one before because you didn’t trust yourself with one and now you NEED one? I’d be very, very careful about using a credit card if you’re financially struggling. Speak to Step Change or Citizens Advice first to see if they can help. It’s a slippery slope when you have access to credit and especially if you had reason to not trust yourself with it before. Stating the obvious but it’s not free money; it will need repaying and interest rates may be high - it can soon spiral!

Second the PP about a credit card possibly not being the best solution to your financial worries.

I suggest having a look at the MSE help with coronavirus pages.
