Mortgage/Tenants in Common help

Can someone give me some advice please.
DH is currently the only one on the mortgage. We each have two grown up children.
We want to make a will so that should one of us die the other can stay in our home but upon their death each set of children get our half. Think it's called Tenants in Common but we are in Scotland so not sure if that's the correct term.
House is due to get re mortgaged next year.
Do we contact solicitor to get my name added to the deeds or do we just make a joint mortgage application?
Also does anyone know if it's called Tenants in common in Scotland or is there something else I should be asking for?

Quick google tells me tenants in common is called joined tenants in Scotland. You will still need a will to make sure all of your share goes to your children as without it, it would most likely be split between your husband and children, depending on size. Not sure about Scottish inheritance rules though.
