Today one bank announced this on a regular saver account

I investigated, it pays £9.88 interest if you save the maximum

Is it worth it ?

(Aware some people have lost their jobs)

The idea is to encourage people to save a modest emergency fund, so while the amount of interest paid is small, it's a little bonus, along with the peace of mind that comes with having a bit of money put by for things like washing machine replacement or car repairs.
