Receiving a refund with different card

I have finally been offered a refund via on the beach for a holiday booked at the beginning of the year. They sent an email saying would be refunded to card ending xxxx, but I had my card stolen a couple of months ago so now have a different card; same account and sort code and same bank. Will I still receive the refund. Can't get through to my bank to ask

Credit or Debit card?

Similar position here on flights. I had to re enter all card details as they say they don’t store them - the card was a replacement and they flagged this up (so they must at least store the last four digits). I then had to upload a photo of the new card to show it was in my possession. Got the refund last week.

Our card used with virgin had since expired, they tried to return to the original on then when they couldn’t wrote and asked us which details to send to.

Debit card; could really do with the money but finding it impossible to speak to anyone

if it's a debit card tied to the same bank account it should go through. Talk to your bank.

Thanks for all replies.
I went into the bank today to ask and they said it shouldn't be a problem but very rarely it could bounce and get stuck in the system, if I don't receive within a week I need to ask holiday company for a reference and the bank will be able to retrieve the refund. Hopefully it will go in as normal..fingers crossed

Also in a similar position. Expecting refund for a holiday around £4000 which was paid for on a credit card 12 months ago. The credit card bill has been paid so I was hoping they would return the funds to current account rather than credit card.

Unsure if they would do this.

They won’t, it will go to the credit card, it then you can ring the card provider and they will send the credit to your bank, assuming you don’t have any balance on your credit card that is. If you have any credit card debt the £4K will go towards that first.
