Verifying my identity with the post office

Does anyone know about this or have any advice? I need to sort out my pension so I am directed to the Post Office site to verify my identity. They take 3 forms of ID from me - my passport, my driving licence and my debit card and say they all check out but then they say my registration can't be completed. So that seems to be it, no way to complete the process. Do I just try again with a different company? It is really annoying as I have found the impetus to sort this after years of putting it off and I don't want to bury my head about it again.

I also feel like providing feedback to the post office: You are crap!

Is this to do with the State Pension or are you trying to sort out a private personal one? Are there other options for ID verification, eg. to go in person to a Post Office with your documents?

Hi!
Did u go into a branch? As all u need is passport, and driving licence and they will verify your ID, this will cost you £12.75.
Good luck

Ah, thank you. Hmm, not sure that I want to reward them for their crapness with money. I really want to remove my details from their system now.
