Prepaid bank card for teen

I am sure this has been done to death... but I’m going to ask anyway...

I’m looking to get a RoosterMoney prepaid card for my teen.
Does it text you when they spend on it? The MartinLewis website said some do but I can’t see where to find out if this one does

Has anyone got experience of this or any of the other well known cards (GoHenry/nimbl/etc)

What age are they? You can get a high street bank account with card from age 11

Use HyperJar kids it’s free.

I set up a bank account in my name with Starling and ordered an extra card for DD. It’s ‘her’ account in that pocket money and presents get paid into it, but I see all transactions. There are no charges and she can’t go overdrawn. The prepaid cards all seem very expensive.

@dementedpixie I want to be able to see what she’s buying.
Last year she spent £60 on extra food at school in a term and a half- she takes loads of food and I have auto top up her lunch account when it drops below £5. She said she wanted to be spending her money not mine but then felt it was ok to waste it on drinks that she didn’t finish (several a day) or crisps for all her friends from the corner shop. If she has a bank card I can see what is being spent where and I want it separate to her bank account with her birthday/Xmas money in so that isn’t spent on crap.

(Also, she’s not been bullied into handing over her money, she def spent the money herself)

I set my kids up their own card account , dds when they needed it to be paid for a weekend job and DS now because he often seemed to " lose" money!! I dont feel the need to see what they are spending though, its their money.
