So my redundancy letter said my contract ended 23.10 but I’ve received all my redundancy pay & my P45 dated 31.07 so I guess I’m free to look for a job & claim benefits

I’ve hung on for now as awaiting if qualify for nursery funding for my three year old as I’d already applied for that before redundancy took place

Then it’s to work out if universal credit or job seekers / tax credits is best option I did look through the entitled to calculator last night but just wondered if there is anything else I should look out for?

Have a look at tax free childcare. It's a government scheme and they "top up" the money you put in by 20% up to 2k a year I think.
You can't claim it alongside UC or tax creds though. I think you have to earn over a certain amount (not loads) and under 100k a year
