Can you preload a tax free childcare account and withdraw when you're no longer eligible

I'm sure we're not alone but we've been impacted by covid and due to lots of reasons are expecting this impact to continue.

We're currently eligible for tax free childcare, but won't be in the final quarter of the year.

If i put in extra now, will I keep the 20% benefit even when i withdraw it to pay for nursery during the time I'm not eligible?

Yes, anything you built up when eligible will still be available for you to use.

They do cap the 20% extra at a certain amount per period (which I think is three months)

I think so. The other option is to pay nursery in advance?

Thank you everyone! This will make real difference

Be warned they cap the contributions every quarter, so make sure you don't miss out
